It was great that people came out in numbers to the recent Winter Course.
The UK Summer Course will soon be upon us, so once again could we ask people try to come and support the course even if for a few days.
Also, I know there are no more static caravans left for that week. But, if you wanted to camp, then Wing Chan the manager has given us a deal of £8 per night per person for those camping, regardless of the size of your tent. Just mention the karate course.
We will also organise a BBQ night, maybe Sunday or Monday, not sure at the moment, but it will be by Peter Hill’s accommodation again. Thanks Peter!
The Bournemouth club will put on a basic spread so no need to buy sausages and burgers unless you want something more exotic. We will sort out the details at the start of the course.
Get booking, the course and the accommodation. This is the start of the school holidays so very busy in the New Forest.
The UK Summer Course 2013 registration form is available now on the Wado Academy web site.

This is a message from Arthur Meek Sensei.
Hi everyone, a message from Maya this morning that Shiomitsu Sensei has made some encouraging improvements with various movements. He was awake for most of the day and appeared to read some Japanese script that someone had brought in for him. As Maya stated these are simple things but a vast improvement. Let’s hope this is a start of more good stuff from him.
Despite Sensei’s current situation the 2013 Winter Course is still going ahead and we would all appreciate a full attendance in support of the event and of Shiomitsu Sensei himself.
Dear Wado Academy member
I write to inform you that unfortunately whilst attending the World Karate Championships in Paris on Saturday 24th November, Shiomitsu Sensei suffered a stroke. Since then, he has been receiving treatment in a specialist hospital in Paris. These are early days and we hope that in the fullness of time he can make a full recovery.
I have travelled to be with him and therefore the Wado Academy office is closed for the time being. Thank you for your patience during this time.
With kind regards
Maya
