Report and Results from Inter - Club Tournament 2006 |
Report Over 90 entrants and almost 50 spectators crammed into the Farnham Memorial Hall on Sunday 24th September for the annual Inter Club tournament. The event ran like clockwork, starting at 11.30 after some practise training and finishing at 3.30 precisely. Clubs from Aldershot, Basingstoke, Bournemouth, Farnham, Farnborough, Haslemere, Hook and Wandsworth were competing. The day consisted of Kumite and Kata events for Kyu grades, male and female, adults, teenagers and children. A raffle of various Martial Arts items and a Tanto Dori (Knife Defence) were also thrown in for good measure. Well done to all who entered and competed with first class spirit and sportsmanship throughout the day and many thanks to those that helped Judge, Referee and work on the admin of the day. Namely Graham Hopkins, Simon Hopkins, Rob Windsor, Gordon Fong, Nick Modgeridge, Phil Sears, Mike Teske and Corin Pegden. Not forgetting Jackie Camfield who ably ran the refreshments stand! The pictures are now on the website and the videos of some of the finals and the Tanto Dori demo will be added soon. We look forward to another successful event next year!
